Proceeds from these fund-raising efforts go specifically to the fight against breast cancer, research and support services. The American Cancer Society has funded over 32 Nobel Prize winners in their efforts to finding a cure.
- Locally, in Palm Beach County, there is a Gift Closet in the office that offers free wigs, prosthesis and bras.
- Another program offered is Look Good, Feel Better. A licensed cosmetologists will teach cancer patients techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
- Reach to Recovery Program provides support and education to individuals dealing with the emotional and physical effects of breast cancer. Trained breast cancer survivors serve as role models to breast cancer patients after breast surgery.
